Reception transition 2022

Miss Higginbottom and Mrs O'Keefe are the class teachers in Butterfly Class. Mrs Jackson helps us with our learning every day.  We have put together some useful links and information on this page which we hope will help you get to know us a bit better.

Stay and Plays

Wednesday 6th July  9.30am - 11am. This is a chance to meet the class teacher, have another look around the classroom, hear about uniforms, school dinners and other practicalities. 

There will be two further play and stay sessions held on the below afternoons. These sessions are a chance to leave your child to get to know their new environment and adults

14th July 1.30pm - 3pm. 

7th September  1.30pm - 3pm. 

Home Visits

During the week of 5th September the class teacher will carry out a home visit so you can discuss anything further. 

School Readiness Roadmap

Below you will find a school readiness road map. This is to support you and child prepare for school. However, each child is different and school readiness will not look the same for everyone.  This map gives some ideas of what school readiness might look like but does not act as a checklist.
