Dragonflies (Years 3 & 4)

Welcome to Dragonflies Class!

Our class teacher is Miss Rickeard and the teaching assistants who will help support our learning in Dragonflies are Miss Wansbrough and Mrs M.

Our PE day is Tuesday each week, please make sure your child comes into school in their PE kit.

Below you will find lots of useful information about our class.

STEM Term- Summer 2022

Can we believe everything we see?

This term we are investigating if we can believe everything that we see in the world around us and how it is presented to us in different media forms such as films, television and printed publications.

We will be looking behind the lens or camera to understand the creative process and the methods that can be used to construct what we want people to see rather than what they are actually seeing.

Below we have attached an overview of our term's learning, as well as more in-depth information on key vocabulary.

We encourage you to refer to this with your child.

"If you can dream it, you can do it.

Always remember that this whole thing was started by a mouse."

Walt Disney

Daily Reading At Home

Your child you should be reading at home at least 5 times each week. I am still running my reading challenge which will begin from next week. If your child reads 15 times at home they will receive a small prize from me as a reward. However, I will only be able to give children a prize if each time they read it is written down in their reading record and signed by an adult. If your child has school reading book they must be reading with you each time.

Each week your child's spellings will be uploaded to Google Classroom and Seesaw.
